I approach painting with outsider-art sensibilities as I try to reduce the picture plane using additive processes. Intensive layering of patterns, shapes, and motifs are used to create abstract narratives for the viewer to mine. Skateboarding and its relationship to architecture inform how I react to the work when I'm making it, using trial and error, and unconventional painting techniques. My work can be seen as a comment on the relevance of handmade visuals, in a digitally saturated world.
